UPDATE! - The New Playground is Open!

On behalf of the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Office of City Rep. Peter Svarzbein, District 1, please be advised that construction work for the playground replacement project at Madeline Park will begin on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016. The work will include taking down the existing playground.

The project is part of an approximate $2 million program to replace playground equipment at 15 parks and to build two new playgrounds in underserved communities.

The work at Madeline Park is being done as part of program’s second phase, which should be completed by summer 2017. Madeline Park will get a brand new playground, swings, wood fiber fall protection, accessible pathway and containment improvements.

The work is part of the City of El Paso’s commitment to enhance El Paso Quality of life through Recreational, Cultural and Educational Environments.
